Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Janson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Janson does no damage.
Janson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Janson gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard.
Jackson looking to control.
Janson postures up and lands a big shot to Jackson's brow.
Janson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Janson pushes his legs off easily.
Janson advances to half guard.

Janson wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jackson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Janson pulls his head out easily.

Janson seems to be looking for submissions.
Jackson is looking to control Janson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?
Janson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Janson looking to pass the guard.

Jackson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Janson escapes and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jackson is trying to control Janson's posture but Janson avoids it.

Jackson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Janson defends well.

Jackson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Janson uses it to pass to side control.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.

Janson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Janson gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch.

Janson breaks from the clinch.
A punch lands to the side of Janson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Janson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Janson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Janson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Janson stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Janson dominated that round.

Jackson gets through Janson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Janson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jackson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Janson to his knees! Jackson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Rod Jackson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
