Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maki Kamiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Azir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mohammed Azir!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azir closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kamiya makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Azir tries to clinch but Kamiya moves away
and Kamiya makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Azir really felt that one!
Azir tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kamiya counters with a nice leg kick.
Azir misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kamiya ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Azir throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kamiya counters with a nice body shot.
Azir looks winded!
Azir drops his hands momentarily and Kamiya needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Azir just on the top of the head. Azir drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Azir - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Maki Kamiya!
Maki Kamiya decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
