The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pendragon sprawls well. Pendragon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sandow gets slowly back to his feet.
Pendragon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sandow misses with a head kick.
Sandow has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pendragon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pendragon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Pendragon wants to land a leg kick but Sandow is out of range.
Sandow misses with a double jab.
Sandow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pendragon avoids it really well and circles away.
Sandow has a takedown stuffed.
Arthur Pendragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Sandow.
Pendragon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sandow doesn't seem bothered though.
Pendragon's corner calls for a 1-2. Pendragon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sandow has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pendragon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sandow yanks on the arm and Pendragon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sandow.
