Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ace Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kakashi Sung Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ace Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kakashi Sung Jung!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sung Jung swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sung Jung displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stevens.
An inside leg kick from Stevens misses.

Sung Jung gets a clinch.
Stevens is trying to pull guard but Sung Jung has him pressed against the cage.
Sung Jung lands an uppercut.
Sung Jung lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Stevens takes a shot to the head.
Sung Jung lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Sung Jung lands with a light punch inside.

Stevens has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sung Jung uses from the top position.
Sung Jung must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Stevens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sung Jung manages to get himself to full guard.

Sung Jung has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stevens is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sung Jung.
Sung Jung tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Stevens easily slips into full mount!
Stevens lands a big elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sung Jung can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sung Jung is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stevens looking to control but Sung Jung is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sung Jung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sung Jung is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stevens wants to control the pace but Sung Jung is squirming around nicely.

The referee warns Sung Jung that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sung Jung is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sung Jung tries to hold on but Stevens postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stevens trying to control but Sung Jung is having none of it.

Stevens gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Sung Jung leaves Stevens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ace Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sung Jung swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevens.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice straight punches there by Sung Jung. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sung Jung.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kakashi Sung Jung will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sung Jung ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stevens moves away.
Sung Jung throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sung Jung lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Sung Jung throws a quick inside leg kick.

Sung Jung has managed to clinch.
Stevens is trying to pull guard but Sung Jung turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sung Jung has Stevens pressed against the cage, preventing Stevens from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sung Jung scores with a nice hook to the head.
Stevens trying to stall but Sung Jung improves his position.
Sung Jung lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stevens backwards.
Stevens looking to slow down the pace here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sung Jung has Stevens pressed against the cage, preventing Stevens from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Stevens is trying to break the clinch but Sung Jung is controlling him.

A short body shot lands from Sung Jung as the two fighters clinch.
Sung Jung lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Stevens is rocked!
Sung Jung lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Stevens to his knees! Sung Jung keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kakashi Sung Jung!
