Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikita Kotoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Ernieson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernieson has chosen Its Raining Men as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nikita Kotoski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bert Ernieson! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kotoski shoots in but no luck this time. Ernieson wants to clinch. Ernieson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kotoski closes the distance and clinches up with Ernieson, looking for a takedown. Kotoski pushes Ernieson against the cage but Ernieson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ernieson clinches up with Kotoski and pushes him back against the cage. Ernieson prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikita Kotoski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kotoski can't get the takedown.

Kotoski seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ernieson wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ernieson pushes Kotoski off and gets back to his feet. Ernieson wants to clinch. Kotoski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ernieson is fending him off so far but Kotoski persists. Nope, Ernieson circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kotoski has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ernieson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kotoski keeps the fight on the outside. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ernieson moves into range and clinches up with Kotoski. Ernieson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kotoski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kotoski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kotoski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kotoski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ernieson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Ernieson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kotoski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ernieson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ernieson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kotoski, pushing him back against the cage. We're back to striking at a distance. Ernieson scores with a decent looking hook. Kotoski gets the takedown into side control. Ernieson is trying to improve his position. Ernieson is not content to let Kotoski control the position. Kotoski decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ernieson to his feet. Ernieson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kotoski as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ernieson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kotoski doesn't seem bothered though. Ernieson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ernieson breaks the clinch.

Kotoski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ernieson walks away with a smile on his face. Kotoski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ernieson tries to close the distance and clinch but Kotoski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ernieson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ernieson scores with a one two! Kotoski had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ernieson clinches up with Kotoski and pushes him back against the cage. The is referee keeping an eye on Ernieson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

And that's the end of the fight! Bert Ernieson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ernieson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
