Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystian Cierpka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 28 - 2, fighting out of London, Daniel Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Krystian Cierpka! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Left hook, right uppercut from Cierpka.
It looks like Daniel Ryan has been cut. Ryan looks for a takedown but Cierpka sprawls well. Cierpka throws a looping overhand right but Ryan ducks down to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Ryan misses the target. Cierpka darts in trying to clinch and Ryan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cierpka swinging wildly here.

Cierpka cracks the inside of Ryan's front leg. A jab-cross combination lands for Cierpka and sends Ryan crashing to the mat! Cierpka follows him down to the mat - Ryan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cierpka is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan gets back to full guard.
Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cierpka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cierpka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cierpka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cierpka wants to stand but Ryan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cierpka is sitting in close to Ryan's body. Ryan has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cierpka is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cierpka is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ryan.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Daniel Ryan! A very excited looking Daniel Ryan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
