The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vogel throws a strike but Garner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Garner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A decent looking cross lands there for Garner.
Garner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vogel's waist but Vogel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garner off to one side.

Garner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vogel sprawls well initially but Garner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vogel has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Garner is on him like a limpet, forcing Vogel back against the cage.
