Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Shelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ryzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Shelton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Ryzon! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryzon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Shelton! Shelton stops Ryzon from passing to mount. Ryzon fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ryzon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ryzon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ryzon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryzon scores with punches from side control. Shelton is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ryzon has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ryzon advances to full mount. Shelton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ryzon controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shelton tries to lock up and control but Ryzon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Shelton tries to control the position but Ryzon now has his back.
Shelton trying to control the hands but Ryzon breaks the grip. Shelton is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ryzon gets his way!
Ryzon is not going to allow Shelton to sit and survive in this position. Shelton is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shelton wants to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryzon struggling to land strikes to the head as Shelton covers up. Shelton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ryzon on the ground. Shelton wants to control his opponent's hands but Ryzon gets his hands free. Ryzon has got one arm under Shelton's chin. This could be trouble... Shelton trying to control the other hand but Ryzon gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Shelton has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Ryzon!
