The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pietrzak. Pietrzak circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stark ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pietrzak fails with the takedown
and Stark counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Stark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pietrzak was well out of range. Poor timing from Stark.
Pietrzak looks to land a combination. Stark sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Pietrzak throws a push kick but Stark slaps the foot to one side.

Pietrzak throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Stark's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pietrzak connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stark scrambles back to his feet.

Pietrzak buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A telegraphed right hand from Pietrzak misses the target.
Pietrzak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Stark counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Nice takedown defense from Stark. No joy for Pietrzak on that attempt.

A little feinted left hand from Stark on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

A chopping leg kick lands by Stark.
Stark lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pietrzak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pietrzak tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stark takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Pietrzak lands a head kick!
Stark getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Stark might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Stark throws a predictable looking body shot
and Pietrzak scores with a counter punch that sends Stark to the canvas! Pietrzak smells blood - he's punishing Stark with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Stark has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
