Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordus Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powell comes to the cage accompanied by 8 Mile. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Powell as Clay shoots in.
Clay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Powell but Powell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A clash of legs there as Clay blocks the low kick.
Powell backing away here, and Clay unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Clay misses with a hook.
Powell gets a clinch.
Powell swings wildly with an uppercut but Clay uses good head movement to avoid it.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Clay.

Clay sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Powell's guard.
Powell is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD Gym of the Gods, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Powell is pressed up against the cage. Clay has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Powell down to the mat. Powell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Clay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Powell's waist but Powell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clay off to one side.
Powell gets a clinch.
Clay is working for takedown but Powell is calmly controlling the position for now.
Powell slows down the pace here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jimi Powell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Clay walks into a jab.
It looks like Gordus Clay has been cut.
Clay shoots in and gets a takedown into Powell's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Powell holds on and takes a little breather.
Clay works over Powell with some ground and pound from guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powell is on top in guard.

Powell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Powell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Powell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Clay looks up at the clock. Bad move! Powell lands a right hand from hell, dropping Clay. Powell pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Jimi Powell really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Light Coffeeshop logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
