Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Springs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Springs's choice of entrance music: Meltdown. Randy Springs acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Lamb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Springs! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamb ducks right into an uppercut from Springs. Lamb looks to throw the jab but Springs is out of range. Lamb connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Lamb feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Springs's calf. Lamb has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hart Family Dungeon in the buildup to the fight. Springs lands an overhand right. Springs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lamb throws a hook but Springs blocks it. Springs lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Lamb lands with a good body shot. Lamb digs a good body shot into Springs's ribs. Lamb thows a left - swing and a miss! Lamb digs a good body shot into Springs's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Springs scores with a leg kick.
Lamb misses with a right hand enabling Springs to counter with a crisp jab. Springs walks into a left hand. Springs's corner calls for a 1-2. Springs obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Springs tries to land a front kick but Lamb steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Springs connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Springs scores with a kick to the body.
Springs getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Lamb shoots in looking for a takedown but Springs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lamb's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Springs lands with a cross. Springs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Springs thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lamb if he has to take too many more of those.

Springs lands a glancing blow to the side of Lamb's head. Lamb connects with a leg kick. Springs looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lamb uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Springs. Springs throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It looked like Lamb wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Lamb throws a big shot that misses. Springs scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lamb in his tracks. Lamb is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Springs. Randy Springs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Springs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lamb.
Lamb scores with a punch to the head. Lamb takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Springs turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Springs throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Springs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lamb. The crowd cheers as Lamb lands an impressive looking overhand right. Springs doesn't seem phased though. Lamb throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A big left from Springs misses. Lamb waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Springs. Springs with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lamb misses with a left hand and Springs counters with a thumping low kick. Lamb tries to close the distance and clinch up but Springs swats him away and circles back towards the center. Springs goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lamb is looking to counter punch. Springs lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lamb throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Springs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Springs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lamb clinches up with Springs and pushes him back against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Springs. Lamb jumps guard but Springs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Lamb blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lamb is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Springs to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Lamb. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short left from Springs. Lamb lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Springs backwards. Springs misses with a hook from the clinch. Lamb tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Lamb lands a body punch. Springs misses with the head strike.
Lamb lands with a short head shot on the inside. Springs throws a punch but it's blocked by Lamb. Lamb blocks a body shot from Springs. Lamb has a couple of punches blocked by Springs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lamb fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Still in the clinch, Lamb scores with a nice short uppercut. Springs softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Springs.
Lamb has hold of one of Springs's legs. Springs is fighting the takedown attempt but Lamb gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lamb has gone for a leg lock! Springs slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lamb's guard. Lamb wants to control the position but Springs says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Springs tries to pass to full mount but Lamb defends it. Lamb is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Springs dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Springs throws a head kick that misses so Lamb counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lamb postures up and lands a big shot to Springs's brow. Lamb loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Springs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lamb manages to get himself to full guard.

Springs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lamb wants to control the position but Springs says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Lamb trying to control from the bottom.

Randy Springs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Lamb's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lamb misses with a straight right. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Springs! But no joy. Springs throws a head kick but Lamb moves out of range.

Randy Springs seems to be getting the better of the standup. Springs feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lambs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lamb fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Springs manages to avoid it. A leg kick checked by Springs. Springs lands with a hook. Lamb tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Springs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lamb.

Lamb closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Springs did well to prevent Lamb getting side control. Lamb is trying to control. Springs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Springs tries to get to full guard but Lamb has control of the leg. Lamb is keen to just control but Springs is a slippery customer. Springs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Springs has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Springs is looking to control Lamb's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Springs avoid being mounted? That's two minutes gone in the round. Lamb throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Darren Lamb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Springs keeping control of the position. Lamb trying to control from Springs's half guard. Springs has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Lamb pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Springs is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lamb throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Springs works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lamb trying to control but Springs is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lamb throws a one two combo.
Lamb takes one to the chin there. Springs thumps Lamb with a low kick. Springs scores with a jab. Lamb throws a big shot that misses. Springs swats away the attempt to clinch by Lamb. Lamb moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Springs slips a jab from Lamb. Springs slips a straight right by Lamb. Springs connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lamb momentarily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lamb crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Springs - the referee stops the clock and Lamb gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Springs. Lamb manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lamb has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Springs finds it's way round the side to connect with Lamb's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lamb with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lamb throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Springs fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Springs lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A big right from Lamb misses. Lamb has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Springs. Both fighters circling a little - Springs finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Springs dips to his left and cracks Lamb with an uppercut! Lamb tries for a takedown but Springs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Lamb. That's going to take a lot out of him. Springs scores with a push kick. Lamb takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The crowd seemed to love his humility. Darren Lamb was interviewed post fight and said 'Baaaaaa... Baaaaaa... Baaaaa... Shit, someone backstage put acid in my drink. I thought I was a lamb.'.
