Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niel Cenabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Pekyew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Niel Cenabre has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekyew fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cenabre manages to avoid it.
Pekyew closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pekyew lands in his opponent's guard.
Cenabre has momentary wrist control but Pekyew slips an elbow through the middle.
Cenabre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pekyew defends it easily.
Pekyew missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pekyew postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pekyew has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cenabre manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Pekyew changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cenabre fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cenabre looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Pekyew jumps guard but Cenabre stands there with Pekyew around his waist. Pekyew gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pekyew told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niel Cenabre dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pekyew crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cenabre - the referee stops the clock and Pekyew gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cenabre. Pekyew manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
