Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gene Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rayborn Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gene Shepard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rayborn Santana!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Santana lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shepard doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Gene Shepard has been cut.
Shepard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Santana lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Santana takes a swing at Shepard's ribcage but misses.
Shepard throws a low kick but Santana avoids it.
Shepard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Santana finds it's way round the side to connect with Shepard's head.
Shepard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gene Shepard's cut is getting worse.
Shepard misses with a head kick.
Shepard rushes Santana and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Santana obliges.
Shepard goes for a takedown attempt but Santana pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Santana lands a glancing blow to the side of Shepard's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santana throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shepard is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santana drops Shepard with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shepard looks back up at him and smiles so Santana waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shepard is rocked!
Gene Shepard's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Santana shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Shepard takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Santana sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Shepard bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rayborn Santana!
