The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steamboat looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Steamboat shoots in but no luck this time.
Steamboat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chuvalo scores with a punch to the head.
Chuvalo connects with the punch.
Steamboat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chuvalo is fending him off so far but Steamboat persists. Nope, Chuvalo circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Chuvalo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Steamboat has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
George Chuvalo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Steamboat.
Oooooh!!! Chuvalo has knocked Steamboat down with a huge combo! Chuvalo steps away and waves a wobbly Steamboat back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Steamboat is rocked!
It looks like Ricky Steamboat has been cut.

Chuvalo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Chuvalo lands a big uppercut and Steamboat crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Steamboat looks OK. Chuvalo waves Steamboat back to his feet!
Chuvalo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steamboat sprawling to the canvas! Steamboat rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Chuvalo finish him?!

Chuvalo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Steamboat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chuvalo as he jumps to the side.
Steamboat misses with a takedown attempt - Chuvalo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Steamboat dives in and grabs Chuvalo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chuvalo pushes down on Steamboat's head and hops out.

Steamboat takes one to the chin there.
Chuvalo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Chuvalo connects with a body shot that sends Steamboat's belly button to the back.
Chuvalo cracks Steamboat with a good jab.

Steamboat looks to land a combination. Chuvalo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Nice sprawl there from Chuvalo as Steamboat shoots in.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chuvalo thuds a left hand into Steamboat's body.
Steamboat looks winded!
Steamboat gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chuvalo.
Steamboat tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chuvalo defends well and Steamboat ends up having to push Chuvalo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A jab from Chuvalo finds it's way through Steamboat's defenses.
Steamboat doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chuvalo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Steamboat gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Chuvalo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Chuvalo!
George Chuvalo took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'GET SOME!!!!!!!'.
The defeated Ricky Steamboat had this to say: 'Good win to for my opponent will be back'.
