With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tito Gomez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into De La Cruz's guard.

De La Cruz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gomez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

De La Cruz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gomez defends it easily.

Gomez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De La Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

De La Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
