Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Stobbart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Morbius! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stobbart drives through with a takedown into guard. Stobbart passes into half guard. Stobbart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Morbius actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stobbart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Morbius looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Stobbart lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Morbius looking for subs from the bottom but Stobbart mounts him! Stobbart thowing shots but they're missing. Stobbart looking to control but Morbius is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Stobbart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stobbart throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Morbius because Stobbart loaded up on that one. Stobbart postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Morbius looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stobbart is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Morbius can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stobbart dominating with strikes here. Morbius stops Stobbart from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Stobbart throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Morbius is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morbius is squirming around, avoiding Stobbart's attempts to control the action. Stobbart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stobbart has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Morbius is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stobbart landing strikes, looking to finish! Morbius keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stobbart misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Morbius tries to reverse the position but Stobbart maintains control. Stobbart with a couple of short strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morbius is desperately trying to improve his position but Stobbart has a good base and remains in mount. Morbius avoids a series of strikes thrown by Stobbart.

Morbius gets back to half guard. Morbius looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Stobbart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Morbius actively working from the bottom here. Morbius keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Stobbart is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morbius defends it well. Stobbart lands strikes from half guard. Stobbart passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Morbius!

Morbius is rocked! Stobbart has control of Morbius's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morbius regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Morbius is still in real trouble! Can Stobbart finish him? The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stobbart cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stobbart lands a big elbow - Morbius is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Morbius is forced to tap out!
