The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lea keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hood leaves Lea with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lea shoots in for a takedown but Hood shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Hood rushes Lea and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hood really is a fat lump.

Hood pulls guard.

Hood had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lea defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

It looks like Hood is going to stand back up.

Lea has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hood is on him like a limpet, forcing Lea back against the cage.

Lea is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hood presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Hood is trying to pull guard but Lea has him pressed against the cage.

Hood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lea tries to avoid it but Hood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lea to the ground. Lea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lea fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hood, pushing him back against the cage.

Lea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hood scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lea is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hood is controlling him well.

Hood is looking to take a break and control but Lea is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lea sneaks out the side door and pushes Hood away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Lea rushes Hood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lea's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lea wants to stand and escape but Hood is having none of it.

Lea scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Lea tries to pull guard but Hood won't allow it.

Lea has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hood has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Hood jumps guard but Lea stands there with Hood around his waist. Hood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
