Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaun-Paul Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan's entrance music is Nirvana - The Man Who Sold the World. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Khan lands with a kick to the temple. Fredrickson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Fredrickson avoids the head kick by Khan.

A telegraphed right hand from Fredrickson misses the target.
Khan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Khan throws the left hand but Fredrickson avoids the punch easily.
Fredrickson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Khan defends it well.
Fredrickson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Genghis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Genghis Khan will probably get the nod.

Khan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fredrickson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That was a close round but Genghis Khan did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well Fredrickson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
