Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bret Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnarr Skjoldr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bret Wheeler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ragnarr Skjoldr! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Wheeler manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Skjoldr on his heels. He'll look to pass Skjoldr's guard now, I'm sure. Skjoldr wants to get back to his feet but Wheeler passes into half guard.
Wheeler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wheeler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Skjoldr has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skjoldr is looking to escape. Wheeler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Skjoldr tries to kick Wheeler off in order to stand up. Wheeler Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Wheeler lands an elbow. Wheeler lands an elbow. Wheeler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Skjoldr tries to escape but Wheeler is in control. Wheeler is putting a hurting on Skjoldr here, landing some big shots from side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wheeler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wheeler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Skjoldr, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler has hold of Skjoldr's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Skjoldr seems comfortable defending it but Wheeler has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Skjoldr is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Skjoldr is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wheeler couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bret Wheeler!
