Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Finyard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Frettish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finyard comes to the cage accompanied by Your pussy's glued to a building on fire. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zackary Finyard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ed Frettish! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finyard clinches up against the cage. Finyard breaks the clinch.
Finyard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Frettish misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Finyard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Finyard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Finyard wants to stand up but Frettish is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frettish passes Finyard's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Finyard regains full guard. Nicely done. Finyard pulls Frettish in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frettish trying to control but Finyard is working from the bottom. Finyard pulls Frettish in close to his closed guard and prevents Frettish from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frettish content to stall in guard here. Frettish really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finyard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Frettish prevents Finyard from getting back to his feet. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Finyard holds on and takes a little breather. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Finyard will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A big left from Frettish misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Finyard is looking to clinch but Frettish is avoiding it.
Frettish now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Some wild striking there from Finyard.
It seemed like Frettish was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Finyard throws a sloppy head kick and Frettish counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Finyard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Finyard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Finyard not doing much here.

Frettish stalls. Frettish blocks the elbow strike.
Frettish tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Finyard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Finyard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Finyard slips under a jab. Frettish defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Finyard. Frettish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Finyard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Finyard is looking to stand up but Frettish isn't so interested in that idea. Finyard pulls Frettish in close to his closed guard and prevents Frettish from doing any damage or advancing position. Finyard wants to get back to his feet but Frettish is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Frettish stopping the sweep attempt from Finyard. Finyard wants to stand but Frettish is controlling the position. Frettish postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finyard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Frettish taking a bit of punishment here - Finyard scoring with strikes. Finyard wants to control but Frettish is keeping him busy. Finyard throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Frettish is being controlled here. Finyard looks for a takedown but Frettish sprawls well. Frettish doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Frettish swats away the attempt to clinch by Finyard. Finyard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Finyard in particular looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frettish is not content to let Finyard control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finyard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Finyard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Finyard with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Finyard seems to be working for a kimura but Frettish defends the submission attempt. Finyard with the ground and pound but Frettish uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Finyard trying to control the position from guard on top but Frettish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finyard looking to sit in guard and control but Frettish gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Finyard holds on and takes a little breather. Frettish preventing the sweep. Frettish must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Finyard throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Zackary Finyard clearly takes that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Finyard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Frettish circles away. Frettish keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Frettish swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Finyard is looking to land body kicks. Zackary Finyard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frettish misses with the combination.
A head kick misses from Finyard. Finyard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zackary Finyard. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Frettish is not content to let Finyard control the position. Zackary Finyard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Finyard misses with the ground and pound. Sloppy strikes there by Finyard. Finyard moves into full mount! Finyard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Zackary Finyard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Finyard is pulling down on Frettish's head. It's preventing any offense from Frettish, at least for the moment.
