Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eduardo Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mason Kim! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Batista tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Batista has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Batista is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Batista wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working.
Batista is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Batista has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mason Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab from Kim. Batista fails with a takedown attempt.

Batista closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kim's guard. Batista wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position. Kim is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Batista is controlling him. Kim wants to get back to his feet but Batista passes into half guard.
Kim is defending against the submission attempts here by Batista.
Batista decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kim circles away. Kim stalks Batista and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Batista's face. Batista staggers backwards, shaken. Kim misses with a head kick.
Batista really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Batista tries for a takedown but Kim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kim. Batista avoids the head kick by Kim.
As Kim tries to get set, Batista tries to push him back and clinch up but Kim manages to avoid the attempt. Kim stuffs the takedown. A nice leg kick lands there from Kim. We've been told by Batista's head coaches at Harambe Remembrance Hall that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Batista takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Batista tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kim manages to circle out of the way.

Batista shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Batista is breathing heavily.
Batista is trying to work for a kimura but Kim is defending well.
Batista moves nicely into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Batista has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. A thudding body kick lands there by Kim!

A close round but Mason Kim will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Batista paws at him with a jab and circles away. Batista seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Batista moves out of range easily. Kim keeps Batista at a distance using the push kick. Kim tries to clinch up. As Kim looks to move away, Batista throws a big counter combo but Kim just gets out of the way. Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
Batista defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kim. Batista is looking to counter the offense by Kim and move into the clinch. Mason Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice cross by Kim. The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Batista or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim, which made it look bad. Kim looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Batista tries to counter by clinching up but Kim breaks away and moves out of range. Kim slips a jab and a cross from Batista.

Batista shoots in looking for a takedown but Kim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Batista's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Batista backing away here, and Kim unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Batista tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kim scores with a nice head shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Batista sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Kim is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
Batista takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Batista tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Batista somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. A thudding body kick lands there by Kim!

Batista attempts a counter takedown but Kim avoids it well and moves away. Kim tries to bum rush Batista with a series of wild strikes but Batista uses good footwork to avoid the assault. This has been an exciting period of action!
Batista shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kim manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Batista trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim is looking to stand up but Batista isn't so interested in that idea.
Batista decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kim.
Batista will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Kim moves in looking to clinch but Batista pushes him off. Batista moves out of range of the body kick from Kim.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Batista shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense. Batista tries for a takedown but Kim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Batista takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kim plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Batista fails with a takedown attempt. Batista takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kim trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Batista is rocked!

It looks like Eduardo Batista has been cut. Batista swats away the attempt to clinch by Kim. Oh Batista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kim lands a nice leg kick that just misses Batista's sensitive parts. Batista avoids the head kick by Kim.
Batista tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kim manages to circle out of the way. Batista throws a hook but Kim blocks it. Batista seems to have got his legs back now. Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Eduardo Batista is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Batista on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Batista is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kim pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kim is trying to break the clinch but Batista is controlling him.
Batista breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Batista fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kim feints and then cracks Batista's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Batista down. Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Batista avoids it really well and circles away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim fakes the leg kick and cracks Batista in the body. Batista has a takedown stuffed. Batista tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kim scores with a push kick. Batista defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kim. Kim throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A head kick misses from Kim. Batista attempts a counter takedown but Kim avoids it well and moves away.
Batista has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
Batista pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Batista with a lazy takedown attempt and Kim counters with a left and a right that stings Batista. Batista fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Batista throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Batista off to one side.
Kim has Batista up against the cage in a clinch.
Kim is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Eduardo Batista has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Batista tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kim smiles and moves away.

Batista lands with a right to the head. Batista is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kim pulls him back up using the underhooks. Batista is trying to push Kim away but Kim has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kim plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A swing and a miss from Batista. Batista takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mason Kim is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kim winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
