Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Terrance Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Nash! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws the left hand but Nash avoids the punch easily. Jackson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Harambe Remembrance Hall in the buildup to the fight. Jackson misses with a shot to the body and Nash counters with a right hand to the body. Jackson misses with a right hand and Nash cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nash misses with a few strikes there.
Nash fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jackson checks it well. Jackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nash. Nash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nash connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nash lands a two punch combo.
Nash misses with a body shot
and Nash takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nash swinging wildly here.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook. A low kick from Nash misses and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand. Nash looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nash takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sloppy strikes from Nash. Those never looked like landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash throws a chopping leg kick but Jackson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Nash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away. Jackson is looking to counter punch. A decent looking cross lands there for Nash. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nash connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jackson. Jackson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nash slips under a jab from Jackson. Jackson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jackson is breathing heavily. Nash lands a left and a right that send Jackson crashing to the mat, dazed. Nash thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Nash lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jackson falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nash dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Nash!
