Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scoth Maxinos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scoth Maxinos has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scoth Maxinos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry King! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King fails with a takedown attempt from distance. King decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Maxinos is trying is best to control the position here. King is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Maxinos preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. King wants to take a breather but Maxinos is having none of it. Maxinos is trying is best to control the position here. King tries to stand but his arm is trapped. King trying to control from half guard but Maxinos is working away. Maxinos is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Maxinos is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Maxinos trying to control from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Maxinos looks for a takedown but King sprawls well. King doesn't succeed with the takedown and Maxinos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. King looks gassed! Maxinos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King has his hands on Maxinos's head, controlling the position. Maxinos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maxinos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Maxinos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Scoth Maxinos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. King misses with a takedown and Maxinos counters with a nice double leg into guard. Scoth Maxinos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry King. King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maxinos controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Maxinos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. King wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. King wants to stand and escape but Maxinos is having none of it. Maxinos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. King trying to keep a closed guard but Maxinos is proving a slippery customer.

King misses the body punch and Maxinos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in King's guard now. Maxinos is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. King is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Maxinos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard. Maxinos trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Maxinos prevents King from getting back to his feet.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Scoth Maxinos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Maxinos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. King lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by King. Scoth Maxinos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. King tries to clinch but Maxinos moves away and Maxinos counters with a single leg into guard. King didn't expect that. Maxinos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maxinos has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. King is looking to stand up but Maxinos isn't so interested in that idea. Maxinos stays in close to King's body and controls the position. Maxinos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maxinos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Maxinos won't allow King to get back to his feet. Maxinos trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Maxinos stops King from standing up. Scoth Maxinos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. King is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. King throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maxinos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Maxinos. King can't break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Maxinos gets a trip takedown into half guard. Maxinos keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. King is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scoth Maxinos dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
King misses with a straight left. King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. King doesn't succeed with the takedown and Maxinos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Maxinos. Maxinos wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. Maxinos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now. King wants to stand and escape but Maxinos is having none of it. King keeping moving, preventing Maxinos from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. King being controlled here, momentarily. King should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's going to take a lot out of Larry King. Maxinos stops King from standing up. King is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. King is trying to keep Maxinos in close.

Larry King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! King wants to sweep but no luck. Maxinos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Maxinos tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. King misses with a head kick.
Scoth Maxinos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. King throws a combination that misses and Maxinos counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
And that's the end of the fight! Scoth Maxinos showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maxinos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
