Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hal Middleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jayden Jones!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Middleton shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Middleton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Middleton manages to pass to side control.
Jones avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Middleton.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones throws a strike from the bottom but Middleton passes into side control!
Middleton slows the pace down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Middleton is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Middleton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Middleton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones is pushing Middleton's head away, looking to escape. Middleton manages to hold on to the position though.
Middleton connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jones some visible discomfort.
Middleton controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Middleton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Middleton gets to mount! Jones was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Jones tries to hold on but Middleton pushes him away.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Middleton controlling the pace for now.
Middleton cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Middleton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Middleton scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jones wants to hold on but Middleton pushes him away.
Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Middleton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Middleton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
Jones wants to control but Middleton is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Middleton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hal Middleton dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Middleton tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Middleton.

Middleton clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hal Middleton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones thuds a left hand into Middleton's body.
Middleton tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.

A head kick misses from Middleton.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Middleton is looking to clinch.
Middleton shoots and misses
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Middleton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Middleton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones is looking for the big counter here.

Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Middleton is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Middleton circles away and we're back to standing.
Middleton throws a quick counter head kick but Jones was just out of range.
Jones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Middleton back to the cage. Jones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Middleton checks it well.
Jones throws a right and a left that Middleton avoids nicely.
Middleton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Middleton off to one side.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jones! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hal Middleton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones tries to clinch but Middleton is having none of it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Middleton.

Middleton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Middleton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?
Jones wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Middleton is now in half guard.
Middleton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jones is staying active underneath Middleton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Middleton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Middleton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Middleton is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Middleton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Middleton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Middleton get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No luck for Middleton with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jayden Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Middleton. Middleton gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones cracks Middleton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Middleton takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Middleton has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Middleton doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Middleton checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Middleton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Middleton off to one side.

Jayden Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Middleton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Middleton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Middleton gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Middleton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Middleton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones wants to clinch up but Middleton keeps it at a distance.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jones is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Jones counters with a right hand to the body.
Middleton has a takedown stuffed.
It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jones lands the left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Middleton is looking to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jayden Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
