Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommy Coleman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Masters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Coleman!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Masters swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Masters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Coleman tries to land a front kick but Masters steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Coleman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Coleman is looking to clinch but Masters is avoiding it.
Masters has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Masters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Masters looks for a takedown but Coleman sprawls well.

Masters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Coleman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Coleman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Masters clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Masters drops back, looking for a kneebar! Coleman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Coleman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Coleman!
Masters is looking to regain half guard here but Coleman keeps moving and retains side control.

Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Masters keeps working.
Masters sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masters is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Masters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coleman decides to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Coleman wants to clinch up but Masters keeps it at a distance.

Coleman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Masters's guard.

Masters had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Coleman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Masters Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Coleman's back instead.
Coleman breaks Masters's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Coleman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Masters is proving hard to escape from.

Coleman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coleman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Coleman tries to free his leg and advance position but Masters is retaining full guard.

Masters is working an open guard so Coleman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Coleman pushes Masters up against the cage in a clinch.
Masters fails to pull guard.

Coleman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Masters uses from the top position.

Masters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Masters drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Coleman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Masters has Coleman in his guard.
Coleman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Masters tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Coleman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Coleman tries to free his leg and advance position but Masters is retaining full guard.

Tommy Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Coleman doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Masters counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Masters.
Masters forces his way into half guard.

Masters is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Coleman is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Coleman trying to hold on to Masters's head to control him but Masters postures up.

Masters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Masters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coleman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Masters, into his guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Masters is looking for a triangle but Coleman pushes his legs off easily.
Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Masters looking for subs off his back but Coleman has passed one foot through into half guard.
Tommy Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Coleman sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coleman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Coleman moves into full mount! Masters won't be happy about that!
Coleman trying to control but Masters is having none of it.
Masters keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Masters is squirming around, avoiding Coleman's attempts to control the action.

Coleman looking for a guillotine from mount but Masters is having none of it.
Masters is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coleman trying to control but Masters is having none of it.
Coleman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ken Masters.
I think Masters has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
