Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Chao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Dock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Dock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vic Chao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Dock!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chao clinches with his opponent.
Chao throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Dock with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Dock tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
I was talking to Chao's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Chao wants to take the fight to the mat but Dock manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dock connects with a nasty looking knee right to Chao's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chao will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dock up against the cage.
Dock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dock is fighting off a takedown attempt but Chao is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dock to the mat. Dock regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Chao passes into half guard.
Dock is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chao scores with a couple of nice shots.
Dock wants to improve his position but Chao is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chao connects with a nice short shot to Dock's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dock takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Dock is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dock takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Chao takes a little break here. Dock wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Dock is looking for a sweep.
Chao landing a few strikes.
Chao in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.


Dock is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chao is chipping away with strikes.
Dock is still in real trouble! Can Chao finish him?
A big shot lands for Chao! That's hurt Dock! Will he recover? Chao fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vic Chao!
A relieved looking Vic Chao thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
