Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lolo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Cocacola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lolo Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Cocacola!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Perez throws a strike but Cocacola rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Perez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Perez tries to get out of the position.
Perez wants to sweep here but Cocacola controlling him for the moment.

Cocacola is keen to just control but Perez is a slippery customer.

Perez wants to sweep but no luck.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perez is on top in guard.
Cocacola bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perez's guard.
Perez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Perez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Perez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cocacola is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Perez thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cocacola seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
