Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christopher Levine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lex Buendia! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Levine moves into range and clinches up with Buendia. Levine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Buendia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Buendia rushes Levine and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Buendia pulls guard. Buendia seems keen to control Levine's posture. Buendia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Levine gets to his feet - Buendia follows without any prompting. Buendia tries to clinch but fails miserably and Levine counters with a shoot takedown. Buendia fights it but they end up in guard. Buendia has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Levine is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head punch blocked on the inside by Buendia. Levine misses with a punch on the inside.

Levine has Buendia pushed against the cage. The referee calls for Levine to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buendia pulls guard. Levine makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Levine decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Buendia, up you get! Buendia lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Christopher Levine has been cut. Excellent takedown into side control there by Buendia.
Levine is rocked! Buendia happy to just control the position for now. Levine tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Buendia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Levine is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buendia goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Levine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Buendia's guard! Nice work there by Levine! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buendia has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Levine with a flurry of punches that miss. Levine is in close to Buendia's body, working some short punches and elbows. Buendia is looking for a triangle but Levine pushes his legs off easily.
Buendia has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Levine should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Buendia has tightened it up now! Levine should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
