The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pryce moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones wants to slow Pryce down by chopping away at his legs. Pryce looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Pryce counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Pryce wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones working a defensive guard here.
Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones is standing up, even though he is in mount. Jones throws a leg kick and Pryce counters with a one-two to the body. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pryce. Pryce tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Pryce looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones wants to pass the guard but Pryce is keeping the position. Jones forces his way into half guard. Jones trying to control the action but Pryce is working from the bottom. Jones working Pryce over with strikes. Jones wants to control but Pryce is keeping him busy. Pryce tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Pryce is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Pryce is having none of it. Jones is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Jones!
