Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bejay BJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Morientes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morientes has chosen Rap Das Armas as his entrance music. Ricardo Morientes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BJ uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Morientes.
Morientes throws a big shot that misses.
Morientes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches BJ on the side of the head.
BJ fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
BJ shoots for a double leg takedown but Morientes sprawls well. He's pushed BJ's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morientes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. BJ sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
BJ shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morientes but Morientes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

BJ tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morientes swivels and escapes.
BJ misses with a takedown attempt - Morientes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

BJ with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Morientes to score with a decent uppercut.
BJ throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morientes's waist but Morientes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing BJ off to one side.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Morientes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Morientes looks to land a left hand but BJ moved out of range nicely.
BJ ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
BJ will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Morientes pushes BJ away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, BJ gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Morientes is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
BJ wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Morientes, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
BJ prevents Morientes from escaping the position.

Morientes is pushing BJ's head away, looking to escape. BJ manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BJ tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no BJ has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Morientes wants to get back to his feet but BJ drags him back down.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Morientes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of BJ's head.

Morientes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as BJ backs up against the cage.
BJ bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Morientes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

BJ looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Morientes tests BJ's chin there with a solid looking shot.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
