Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Suren Nazarethyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Testing Inprogress (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
44 - 26 - 1, fighting out of London, Suren Nazarethyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 2, fighting out of New York, Testing Inprogress! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inprogress shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Nazarethyan tries to counter with a takedown but Inprogress is quick to defend against it. Good work by Nazarethyan as he checks the leg kick. Inprogress fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nazarethyan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Nazarethyan counters with a single leg into guard. Inprogress didn't expect that. Nazarethyan stands and steps away. Inprogress gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inprogress fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nazarethyan drops down looking for a counter takedown but Inprogress sprawls and moves away. Inprogress shoots in but no luck this time. Nazarethyan attempts a counter takedown but Inprogress avoids it well and moves away. Inprogress misses with a leg kick and Nazarethyan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inprogress is working an open guard so Nazarethyan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Inprogress tries for a takedown but Nazarethyan circles away easily and Nazarethyan counters with a shoot takedown. Inprogress fights it but they end up in guard. Suren Nazarethyan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Testing Inprogress. Inprogress working a defensive guard here.
Inprogress wants to control the position but Nazarethyan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Inprogress is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inprogress is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inprogress wants to control the action here but instead Nazarethyan manages to pass to full mount! Inprogress tries to hold on but Nazarethyan pushes him away. Inprogress is looking to get to half guard. Inprogress tries to control the position but Nazarethyan now has his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nazarethyan is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Inprogress is in bad spot here.

Nazarethyan wants to stand up but Inprogress is stuck to his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Inprogress tries to escape the position.
Nazarethyan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Inprogress. Inprogress rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Inprogress tries to roll over but Nazarethyan keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Suren Nazarethyan dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Inprogress throws a sloppy head kick so Nazarethyan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Inprogress looking to control.
Nazarethyan wants to get up but he can't break Inprogress's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nazarethyan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inprogress is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Inprogress has his feet on Nazarethyan's thighs here. He's pushed Nazarethyan off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Nazarethyan screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
