Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edule Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Stewart is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edule Edwards! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Edwards blocks the low kick. Edwards lands a nice hook to Stewart's body. Stewart takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Edwards. Stewart does a little dance to reset his feet. Stewart defending well as Edwards loads up on a big left hand. Stewart avoids the body shot from Edwards.
Edwards chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stewart can pounce on him.

Edwards throws a fast counter high kick but Stewart manages to duck under it in time. Edwards misses with a low kick as Stewart jumps back. Edwards circles away from the clinch attempt.
Edule Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Edwards throws a leg kick but Stewart sees it coming and checks it nicely. Stewart shoots in for a double leg but Edwards sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stewart drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Edwards misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stewart.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edwards looks to score with a jab to the body but Stewart is just out of range. Edwards goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Edwards throws a sloppy head kick and Stewart moves out of range easily. Edwards has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Stewart scores with a hook to the body. Edwards takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Edwards chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Stewart blocks the low kick. Stewart lands a jab to Edwards's midsection. Edwards blocks a head kick by Stewart.
Edwards fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stewart has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Edwards keeps Stewart at a distance using the push kick. Stewart lands a nice shot to the body.
Edule Edwards is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stewart moves out of range of the body kick. Edwards throws a right hand that misses
and Stewart makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Stewart tries to work over Edwards's front leg with a kick but Edwards checks it. Edwards looks like he wants to counter punch here. Edwards lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Edwards misses with the combination.
Stewart looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Edwards misses with a body shot.
Stewart appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Stewart shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stewart showed some decent athleticism there. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stewart drops an elbow to the side of Edwards's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Stewart stalling away here and it's allowed Edwards to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Edwards is on top in guard.
Stewart looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stewart tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stewart is looking to sweep but instead, Edwards has passed into half guard.
Edwards wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stewart keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart wants to get back to full guard. Stewart has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edwards is working away from the top position though. Stewart is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Edwards trying to mount his opponent but Stewart defends it. Stewart is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Edwards pulls his head out easily. Edwards is looking to take a break and control but Stewart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Edwards not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stewart gets back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Edwards has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Stewart to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Edwards is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Stewart pulls down on the head and he's put Edwards to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Don Stewart! Don Stewart decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
