Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky Yip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Millennium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franky Yip has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Franky Yip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Millennium!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yip changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've been told by Yip's head coaches at LOD London Top Tier that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nice defenses there by Millennium.
Yip throws a hook but Millennium avoids it easily.
Millennium buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Millennium misses with a leg kick
and Yip counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Millennium scores with a leg kick.
Yip comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Millennium throws a jab but it's blocked by Yip.
Yip swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Millennium moves in looking to clinch but Yip pushes him off.

Yip scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Millennium moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Yip throws a big elbow that misses.
Yip sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Millennium's guard.

Millennium has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Millennium wants to improve his position but Yip is controlling well.

Yip seems to be working for a kimura but Millennium defends the submission attempt.
Millennium is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yip's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yip's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yip looking to sit in guard and control but Millennium gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Millennium drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Millennium jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Millennium drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yip manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Millennium has Yip in his guard.

Millennium had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yip defends it easily.

Yip trying to keep a closed guard but Millennium is proving a slippery customer.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Millennium accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Yip is looking for a triangle but Millennium pushes his legs off easily.

Yip throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Millennium escapes and throws Yip's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Yip is looking to regain half guard here but Millennium keeps moving and retains side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Franky Yip will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Yip feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Millenniums jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Millennium lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Millennium closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Yip lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Millennium makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Millennium is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Millennium throws a head punch that misses.
Millennium is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Yip is keeping busy.
Yip blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Millennium doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Millennium is trying to drag Yip to the mat but Yip just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A bit of stalling here from Yip.

Yip breaks from the clinch.
Yip misses with an uppercut. Millennium saw that one coming.
Millennium is looking to clinch but Yip is avoiding it.
Yip throws a hook but Millennium blocks it.
Millennium connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Yip fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Millennium gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Yip cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Millennium throws a nice looking combination but Yip bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Millennium's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yip connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Millennium scrambles back to his feet.
Yip throws a looping overhand right but Millennium ducks down to avoid it.
And Millennium tries to counter it with a takedown but Yip pushes his down on his head and steps out.

A punch lands to the side of Yip 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Yip shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Millennium's guard.

Yip escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Millennium gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Millennium tries a head kick but it misses.
Millennium jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Yip takes one to the side of the head.
Millennium swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Yip connects with a single shot there.
Yip is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Millennium.
Millennium scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Millennium dives in for a single leg takedown but Yip sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Millennium bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yip's head.
Yip throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Millennium sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Millennium cracks Yip with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Yip takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Yip or perhaps it was just good defense by Millennium, which made it look bad.

Yip throws a big counter combination but Millennium scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Millennium shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yip manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Millennium tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Millennium has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Franky Yip is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yip lands a nice short elbow.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Millennium wants to sweep but Yip has passed to side control!

Chris Millennium comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Yip has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
