Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Musta Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drei Silker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laine comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Sound of Silence. On his way into the cage it seems that Musta Laine has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Musta Laine seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Musta Laine! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drei Silker! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Laine moves forwards but Silker connects with a nice, crisp jab. Laine lands with a straight right. Silker didn't see that one coming. Laine looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Laine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Laine lands a jab to Silker's midsection. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Silker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Laine has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Laine and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Laine thows a left - swing and a miss! Laine looks to land a body kick but Silker moved away. Laine tries to land a front kick but Silker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A head kick misses from Laine. Laine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silker. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Laine, right into the meat.
Laine will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Silker flicks out a counter leg kick but Laine steps away. Laine thows a body kick. Silker tries to catch it but that hurt him. Laine pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Silker follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Laine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Silker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Silker misses with a low kick.
No joy there for Silker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Laine wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silker throws a leg kick but Laine sees it coming and moves out of range. Laine throws a quick counter head kick but Silker was just out of range. Silker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Silker missing with a left hand there. Laine was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Silker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silker sprawls well initially but Laine persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Silker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Laine. Silker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Laine is thwarting Silker's attempts to control the position. Laine is pressing down on Silker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silker is holding on for now. Laine lands with a punch from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Laine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Laine. Laine looking to pass the guard. Laine controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Laine stands up over Silker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laine passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine is staying tight to Silker's torso, preventing him from escaping. Laine looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Silker is avoiding damage well.
Laine scores with a couple of short elbows. Silker prevents Laine from moving into mount. Silker is looking for a sweep. Silker is not content to let Laine control the position. Silker wants to control but Laine postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Silker tries to bench press Laine off him but Laine keeps the position. Laine controlling the position from side mount. Silker struggling a bit here. Silker is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Silker defending against the ground and pound. Laine misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Musta Laine dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Laine moves out of range of the strikes. Laine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silker can do to turn this around? Laine has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short right from Laine on the inside. Laine misses with a hook from the clinch. Silker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Silker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Laine breaks the clinch.

Laine fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Laine misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silker.
Silker looks for the body kick but Laine saw that one coming. Silker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Silker tries a low kick but Laine avoids it. Laine slips under a jab. Laine is looking to land body kicks. Laine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice defenses there by Laine. Laine darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Laine.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laine looking to sit in guard and control but Silker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Laine is looking for a triangle here but Silker uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Laine manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Laine controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laine winds up and cracks Silker with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Silker works his way to full guard. Good work. Silker working a defensive guard here.
Laine working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silker's head. Laine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Musta Laine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silker is trying to keep Laine in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine throws a big elbow that misses. Laine loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Laine trying to control the position from guard on top but Silker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Laine. Silker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Laine escapes and throws Silker's legs to the side, diving into side control! Silker is trying to get back to half guard. Laine looks up at the clock and then as Silker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Laine smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laine throwing shots but missing, from side control. Silker prevents Laine from improving position. Silker parries the strikes from Laine easily there. Laine is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silker to escape.
Silker tries to bench press Laine off him but Laine keeps the position. Silker taking a bit of punishment here - Laine scoring with strikes. Silker is not content to let Laine control the position. Laine landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Musta Laine dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silker misses the jab. Laine tries a head kick but it misses.
Laine lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Laine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Laine instigates a clinch. Silker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Laine's elbow. Silker misses with the head strike.
Silker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round. Laine is working for takedown but Silker is calmly controlling the position for now. Silker lands with a right to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Laine creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Musta Laine has scored more points in the clinch so far. Silker is looking to control Laine's arms but Laine gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silker has his back to the cage. Silker misses with a punch on the inside.
Laine softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Laine's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Laine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silker misses with a straight left. An inside leg kick lands from Silker. Laine throws a sloppy head kick and Silker moves out of range easily. A jab lands there for Laine. Laine cracks a nice hook into Silker's ribs. Laine closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Silker quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silker wants to control but Laine is keeping busy and won't allow it. Laine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laine missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Silker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Laine. Laine scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Silker keeping full guard, as Laine tries to pass. Silker managing to control the position. Silker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine trying to control but Silker is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Laine is in close to Silker's body, working some short punches and elbows. Silker trying to keep a closed guard but Laine is proving a slippery customer.
Silker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Laine is aware though and is defending well. Laine trying to control but Silker is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Silker just misses with a punch to the body.
Drei Silker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Laine checks a leg kick. Laine lands a nice shot to the body.
Laine tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silker is looking to clinch. Drei Silker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silker is looking to score with low kicks. Silker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Laine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silker. Silker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Silker moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Silker gets off balance looking for a body kick and Laine counters with a leg kick. Laine moves out of range of the body kick from Silker.
Silker misses with a left hand and Laine counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Laine changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laine swings and misses with a shot to the body and Silker counters with a nice uppercut. A jab lands there for Laine. Silker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Silker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Silker looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Silker lands a nice looking kick to the body. Laine takes a step back to recover. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Musta Laine clearly takes that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Laine scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice defenses there by Laine. As Silker backs away, Laine returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Laine drops his hands momentarily and Silker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Laine misses with a takedown and Silker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Laine's knee momentarily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Silker lands a nice uppercut. Silker tries to work over Laine's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A body shot lands from Laine.

Laine has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Laine blocks an uppercut.

Silker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Musta Laine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Laine sizes up Silker with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Laine plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Laine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silker swivels and escapes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Laine thuds a left hand into Silker's body. A kick lands to the mid section there for Silker. Laine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Laine cracks a nice hook into Silker's ribs. Laine tries to bum rush Silker with a series of wild strikes but Silker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Laine misses with a hook. Silker ducked under it nicely. Silker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Laine to score with a decent uppercut. A slow jab from Silker misses its intended target. Silker walks into a stiff left hand from Laine. Laine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Laine takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Silker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Musta Laine will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Silker tries to close the distance and clinch but Laine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Laine takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Silker throws a leg kick but Laine sees it coming and checks it nicely. Musta Laine is winning the standup battle so far. Silker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Laine is able to avoid easily. Laine has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Silker. Laine displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silker throws out the jab. Laine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Laine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Laine in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silker can't do much from the bottom here. Silker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Laine's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Silker wants to control but Laine is keeping busy.
Laine is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Laine wants to pass to mount but Silker is defending the position. Laine is trying to work for a kimura but Silker is defending well.
Drei Silker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Laine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Laine with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Silker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Laine. Silker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Laine is working away from the top position though. Laine seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Laine lands with a punch from half guard. Laine prevents Silker from improving his position. Laine thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Well, if Laine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Silker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Laine checks the leg kick. Silker rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

That's four minutes gone in the round. Laine connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silker. Silker circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Silker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Silker throws a leg kick but Laine moved away. Laine scores with a shot to the body.
Silker needs to keep his hands up - Laine had a free shot at his head there. Laine fails to land the takedown. Laine dips to his left and cracks Silker with an uppercut! Laine connects with an inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Laine moves out of range as Silker strikes. Silker misses with a wild body shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silker lands with a cross. Silker tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Laine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silker. Laine appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. That kick from Laine tenderised Silker's leg. Silker is trying to keep his angry face on.
And that's the end of the fight! Musta Laine showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Laine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
