Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rob Bobbins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Baki Pekyew! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekyew manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bobbins on his heels. He'll look to pass Bobbins's guard now, I'm sure. Bobbins looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Pekyew not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bobbins looking to control.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pekyew cracks Bobbins with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pekyew postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pekyew is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bobbins has momentary wrist control but Pekyew slips an elbow through the middle. Pekyew lands a couple of digs. Bobbins trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bobbins has momentary wrist control but Pekyew slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bobbins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pekyew controls the pace. Pekyew working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bobbins's head. Pekyew stands up over Bobbins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pekyew slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pekyew passes to side control. Bobbins seems a little lost for a moment, as Pekyew dominates the positioning. Pekyew grinds an elbow into Bobbins's temple. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bobbins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bobbins is rocked! Pekyew is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bobbins looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pekyew gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bobbins is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pekyew lets go of the hold and Bobbins can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Baki Pekyew!
