Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Palmer Spears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Palmer Spears! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Jones! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Spears is defended easily by Jones. Jones misses with the body kick so Spears counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Spears postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Spears manages to get himself to full guard.
Spears has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Spears looking for a sweep. Not yet Spears, not yet. Jones wanted to stand there but Spears had control of the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spears is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.
Spears tries to kick Jones off in order to stand up. Jones Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Jones avoids the strikes from the bottom by Spears. Spears tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Spears can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position but Spears is working away. Spears gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Spears throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Spears is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount! Spears is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Spears is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Poor strikes thrown by Jones there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spears wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones wants to control the pace but Spears is squirming around nicely. Jones misses with a head shot. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones throws some wild stikes that Spears manages to avoid easily.
Spears is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jones has taken his back! Good control from Jones. Spears rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Jones controlling the pace. It looks like Jones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Spears slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Jones decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spears's waist but Spears gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spears defends well and Jones ends up having to push Spears into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Spears throwing a counter right hand but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Spears sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Palmer Spears has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Jones. Spears tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spears somewhat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones. Spears appears to be looking for a big counter. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spears is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Spears circles away and we're back to standing. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Spears manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Spears appears to be looking for a big counter. Jones looks winded! Spears shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jones throws a counter combo. Spears changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spears tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spears working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
