The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dixon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dixon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dixon wants it to stay on the feet.
Dixon lands with an uppercut that bounces Jackson off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Mike Jackson has been cut.
Jackson fails with the takedown
enabling Dixon to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dixon lands a left and a right that send Jackson crashing to the mat, dazed. Dixon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jackson is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dixon cracks Jackson with a left hook right on the temple and Jackson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Dixon lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Jackson is OK!
