Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler has Hicks up against the cage in a clinch.
Hicks is trying to pull guard but Tyler turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hicks goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Tyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hicks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tyler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hicks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hicks manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tyler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hicks keeps working.
Hicks tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tyler has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Tyler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hicks to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hicks shrugs it off.

Tyler has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hicks to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tyler is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hicks pulls down on the head and he's put Tyler to sleep! This one is all over!
