Akira Hendrix struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pichushkin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hendrix steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pichushkin.
Pichushkin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hendrix throws a hook but Pichushkin avoids it easily.
Hendrix scores with a sloppy right hand. Pichushkin should have avoided that one.
Hendrix slips under a jab.
Pichushkin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hendrix misses with an uppercut. Pichushkin saw that one coming.
Hendrix fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pichushkin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hendrix avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pichushkin misses with a straight right.
Pichushkin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pichushkin.
Pichushkin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hendrix tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pichushkin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A jab from Hendrix does it's job there.
It looks like Alexander Pichushkin has been cut.
Pichushkin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hendrix takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hendrix is rocked!
Hendrix tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pichushkin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hendrix is still on wobbly legs! Can Pichushkin finish him?
Pichushkin drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Hendrix's head, knocking him out cold! Pichushkin is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
