Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pulover Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez has chosen Brazilian Fight Song by Stephane Attias as his entrance music. Benny Cortez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cortez.
Cortez rushes Teixeira and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Teixeira pulls guard effortlessly.
Cortez stops Teixeira from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cortez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Teixeira is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Teixeira is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cortez defends well.
Teixeira might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teixeira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cortez controls the pace.

Cortez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Teixeira tries to get to full guard but Cortez has control of the leg.
Teixeira pushes Cortez off looking to stand but Cortez dives back in and keeps control.
Teixeira is trying to maintain the position but Cortez is very close to passing his half guard.
Cortez prevents Teixeira from standing back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cortez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Teixeira quickly recovers to half guard.
Teixeira pushes Cortez off looking to stand but Cortez dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Teixeira tries to roll over but Cortez keeps him under control.
Cortez content to control rather than advance.

Cortez wants to pass to mount but Teixeira is defending the position.
Teixeira looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cortez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Teixeira is looking for a counter combo.

Teixeira went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pulover Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Cortez.
Teixeira fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Benny Cortez has been cut.
Benny Cortez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Teixeira fails to land the takedown.
Cortez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Teixeira defends it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cortez misses with a takedown attempt
and Teixeira counters with a nice right hand that sends Cortez toppling to the canvas! Cortez scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Teixeira finish him?!
Teixeira shoots in looking for a takedown. Cortez tries to sprawl out of it but Teixeira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cortez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Teixeira fails to land with a series of punches.
Teixeira is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cortez can do to turn this around?
Cortez throws a sloppy head kick
and Teixeira counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cortez tries to land a body kick
and Teixeira counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cortez throws a right and a left that Teixeira avoids nicely.
Teixeira went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nice takedown defense from Teixeira. No joy for Cortez on that attempt.

Cortez backs away from a small jab... but Teixeira lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Cortez crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Teixeira with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Pulover Teixeira!
A very excited looking Pulover Teixeira made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Benny Cortez was interviewed post fight and said 'Thank you fans!'.
