Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Fharrat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Reggie Grimdal!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Fharrat. Those never looked like landing.

Fharrat clinches up with Grimdal and pushes him back against the ropes.

Fharrat turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Fharrat thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fharrat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grimdal, who protects the arm well.
Fharrat prevents Grimdal from escaping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fharrat throwing strikes but Grimdal manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Fharrat tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grimdal wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fharrat is trying to control Grimdal's posture but Grimdal avoids it.

Grimdal stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Grimdal gets tackled into the ropes by Fharrat. Fharrat maintains the clinch.

Grimdal misses with a shot to the kidneys.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Grimdal lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Grimdal landing knees to the body.
Grimdal lands a good knee to the midsection. Fharrat won't want to take too many of those.

Fharrat wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grimdal has him pressed against the ropes.
Fharrat is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Grimdal to keep the fight standing.
Grimdal creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fharrat's defenses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Grimdal.
Fharrat throws a head punch that misses.
Fharrat is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Fharrat is trying to pull guard but Grimdal has him pressed against the ropes.

A frustrated look appears on Fharrat's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Grimdal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fharrat tries for a takedown but Grimdal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Grimdal throws a fast counter high kick but Fharrat manages to duck under it in time.
Fharrat is breathing heavily.

Grimdal clinches.
Fharrat tries to pull guard but Grimdal forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
Grimdal lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Carl Fharrat has been cut.

Grimdal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fharrat misses with a jab, cross combination.
Grimdal is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Fharrat with a body shot.
Grimdal slips a straight right by Fharrat.
Grimdal flicks out a counter leg kick but Fharrat steps away.

Grimdal has taken the fight to the clinch.
Grimdal lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Grimdal lands an elbow inside.
Fharrat wants to take the fight to the mat but Grimdal manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Fharrat throws a head punch that misses.

Grimdal breaks from the clinch.

Grimdal gets a clinch.

Grimdal on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Grimdal stalls.

Grimdal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fharrat darts in and clinches Grimdal up against the ropes.
Grimdal stalling the fight.

Grimdal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fharrat shoots in and drives through. Grimdal sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Grimdal. No joy for Fharrat on that attempt.
Fharrat throws a sloppy head kick

and Grimdal counters by moving into the clinch.
Fharrat has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Grimdal lands a nice elbow.
Fharrat is trying to drag Grimdal to the mat but Grimdal just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Grimdal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Grimdal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carl Fharrat's cut.
That's time! Fharrat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Fharrat throws a head kick that misses.
Fharrat moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromGrimdal.
Fharrat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grimdal defends it nicely.
Grimdal blocks a jab.

Grimdal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Grimdal landing knees to the head.
Fharrat tries to work over Grimdal's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Grimdal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fharrat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Grimdal smiles and moves away.
Grimdal avoids the head kick by Fharrat.

Grimdal closes the distance and clinches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Grimdal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fharrat has closed the distance and engaged Grimdal in a clinch.
Grimdal unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fharrat lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Fharrat takes an elbow to the forehead.

Grimdal manages to break the clinch.

Grimdal takes the fight into the clinch.
Grimdal gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Grimdal lands a knee to the body.
Grimdal lands a shoulder strike.
Grimdal lands a damaging elbow.
Fharrat takes a knee to the side of the body.
Reggie Grimdal seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Grimdal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grimdal comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Fharrat can't break the clinch.

Fharrat misses with a takedown
and Grimdal counters with a flying knee that drops Fharrat! Grimdal dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
