Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarrett Wendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarrett Wendall will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcel Knowles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jarrett Wendall! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knowles shoots in for a takedown but Wendall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wendall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knowles is looking for a counter combo. Knowles closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wendall taking a breather. Wendall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Knowles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A head kick by Wendall misses and Knowles counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A head kick misses from Wendall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wendall darts in and clinches Knowles up against the cage. Wendall drops down looking for an ankle pick but Knowles pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jarrett Wendall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knowles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wendall wants to get back to his feet. Knowles is trying to work for a kimura but Wendall is defending well.
Wendall is looking to escape. Wendall trying to control but Knowles postures up.
Knowles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wendall throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wendall desperately trying to maintain half guard. Wendall avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Knowles. Wendall wants to improve his position but Knowles is controlling well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wendall has closed the distance and engaged Knowles in a clinch.
Knowles wants a takedown.
Knowles keeps control of Wendall as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wendall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Knowles doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wendall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Marcel Knowles has been cut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcel Knowles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wendall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Knowles defends it nicely. Wendall fails with the takedown and Knowles counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wendall manages to escape and get back to his feet! Nice takedown defense from Knowles. No joy for Wendall on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wendall fails with the takedown. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wendall fails with the takedown and Knowles moves into the clinch. Wendall wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knowles has him pressed against the cage. Knowles keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wendall's efforts to push away. Knowles gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wendall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wendall trying to control the position but instead, Knowles has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wendall into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jarrett Wendall will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marcel Knowles's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Knowles looking to score a takedown here. Wendall is defending well but Knowles drives through and ends up in Wendall's guard. Wendall lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Knowles is trying to keep Wendall in close.
Wendall content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wendall trying to control the position from guard on top but Knowles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knowles working a defensive guard but Wendall manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Knowles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wendall stands up. Knowles fails with the takedown and Wendall counters with a flying knee that drops Knowles! Wendall dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
