Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Donovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Mutulikina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buck Donovan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pierre Mutulikina! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mutulikina stuffs the takedown attempt from Donovan. Donovan gets slowly back to his feet. Mutulikina tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Donovan throws a big counter combination but Mutulikina scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Donovan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mutulikina is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Donovan's half guard. Mutulikina is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mutulikina wants to free his trapped foot but Donovan is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutulikina is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Donovan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mutulikina. Donovan is holding on to half guard well. Donovan wants to control but Mutulikina is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Donovan manages to regain half guard. Good work. Donovan is trying to get back to full guard. Mutulikina wants to stand up but Donovan is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mutulikina trying to control but Donovan is working from the bottom. Donovan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Donovan wants to improve his position but instead Mutulikina has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mutulikina trying to control from half guard but Donovan is working away. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mutulikina looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Donovan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Donovan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mutulikina is thwarting Donovan's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Donovan wants to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Donovan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mutulikina swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buck Donovan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mutulikina gets a double leg takedown into Donovan's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Mutulikina dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Donovan shoots in but no luck this time. Donovan shoots in looking for a takedown but Mutulikina manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Donovan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mutulikina scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mutulikina is figuring out what he wants to do next. Mutulikina is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Donovan wants to control but Mutulikina is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mutulikina scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mutulikina wants to take a breather but Donovan is having none of it. Donovan wants to improve his position but Mutulikina is controlling well.

Mutulikina wants to free his trapped foot but Donovan is holding on for dear life with his legs. Donovan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Donovan is pressing down on Mutulikina's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Donovan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mutulikina defends well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mutulikina shoots in and gets a takedown into Donovan's guard. Donovan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mutulikina is aware though and is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mutulikina controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Donovan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mutulikina wants to control from the top but Donovan keeps moving.

Donovan keeping moving, preventing Mutulikina from controlling successfully. Mutulikina gets to his feet - Donovan follows without any prompting. Mutulikina loads up on a big right hand but Donovan slips the punch. Donovan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mutulikina as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buck Donovan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Donovan shoots and misses and Mutulikina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Donovan circles away from the clinch attempt and Donovan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mutulikina's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Mutulikina showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mutulikina keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Donovan's head. Mutulikina slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Donovan is looking for a sweep. Mutulikina working the ground and pound. Donovan taking punishment in the form of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mutulikina is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Donovan has escaped the position, nice work there. Mutulikina takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mutulikina decides to take the fight back to the feet. Donovan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Donovan misses with a double jab
and Mutulikina counters with a shoot takedown. Donovan fights it but they end up in guard. Mutulikina pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Donovan is keeping the position for now. Donovan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mutulikina is one step ahead there. Mutulikina trying to control but Donovan is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mutulikina is looking to stand up but Donovan won't let him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Donovan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mutulikina as he jumps to the side. Mutulikina pivots, looking for a leg kick but Donovan is out of range and Mutulikina settles back down. The fighters circling - Mutulikina throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Donovan shoots and misses and Mutulikina counters with a left and a right that stings Donovan.
Donovan is rocked! Mutulikina manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Donovan on his heels. He'll look to pass Donovan's guard now, I'm sure. Donovan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mutulikina dives into side control.
Oh Donovan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mutulikina in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Donovan looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Mutulikina turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
