Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benito Galan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brendan Burgess! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benito Galan! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galan gets caught flat footed, as Burgess shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Galan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burgess doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burgess manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burgess stopping the sweep attempt from Galan. Galan keeps trying to improve his position. Galan is looking for a triangle but Burgess pushes his legs off easily.
Burgess wants to stand but Galan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Galan has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Savage Kartel MMA Tokyo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Galan pulls Burgess in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burgess doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Galan is tightening it up a little... Burgess has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Burgess reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Burgess taps out! Nice BJJ there by Galan!
