Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osama Bin Laden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lars Ferdinand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Osama Bin Laden! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bin Laden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferdinand to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ferdinand controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bin Laden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ferdinand defends well. Ferdinand sitting in guard here, content to control. Ferdinand has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Ferdinand trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bin Laden trying to keep a closed guard but Ferdinand is proving a slippery customer.
Bin Laden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferdinand defends it easily. Bin Laden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferdinand doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferdinand manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bin Laden can't keep his opponent in guard - Ferdinand advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ferdinand is keen to just control but Bin Laden is a slippery customer. Ferdinand works his foot free and advances to mount. Ferdinand controlling the position easily from mount. Bin Laden tries to hold on but Ferdinand pushes him away. Ferdinand can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bin Laden is looking to escape. Bin Laden tries to hold on but Ferdinand postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferdinand sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ferdinand with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Bin Laden wants to control but Ferdinand is having none of it. Bin Laden is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ferdinand slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferdinand is persistently looking for the submission but Bin Laden is defending it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferdinand not allowing Bin Laden to control his hands. Bin Laden is really stuck here.
Ferdinand working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Ferdinand is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Bin Laden fending off the submission attempt from Ferdinand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ferdinand has the hooks in. Bin Laden is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Ferdinand dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looks like Lars Ferdinand has been cut. Ferdinand shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ferdinand showed some decent athleticism there. Bin Laden trying to control here.

Bin Laden has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ferdinand doesn't defend quickly enough and Bin Laden has managed to lock this one up! Can Ferdinand escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bin Laden on a fantastic submission victory.
