Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Labosky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labosky wants to clinch up but Gonzalez keeps it at a distance. Gonzalez rushes Labosky and presses him up against the cage. Labosky is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gonzalez to keep the fight standing. Gonzalez lands a knee to the body.
Labosky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gonzalez avoids it. Labosky can't break the clinch.
Labosky wants to get back to striking at distance but Gonzalez won't allow it.
Labosky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Labosky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Labosky throws a sloppy head kick and Gonzalez moves out of range easily. Gonzalez is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Labosky with a body shot. Labosky tries to clinch up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gonzalez is defended easily by Labosky. It looked like Labosky was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Labosky uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gonzalez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez keeps the fight on the outside. Labosky wants to clinch. Gonzalez rushes Labosky and presses him up against the cage. Gonzalez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Labosky throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Labosky tries to clinch there but Gonzalez circles away.

Gonzalez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Labosky closes the distance and pushes Gonzalez back into the cage. Labosky slowing the pace effectively. Labosky is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gonzalez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Labosky clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Gonzalez doesn't have the hooks in and Labosky manages to turn into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Labosky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Labosky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gonzalez is keeping the position for now. Labosky stopping the sweep attempt from Gonzalez. Gonzalez is adopting a defensive guard. Labosky showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Gonzalez managing to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Gonzalez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Labosky is looking to stand up but Gonzalez won't let him. Labosky is fighting to break Gonzalez's control of his arms but Gonzalez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Labosky is looking to clinch. Gonzalez throws a body punch but Labosky moves out of range. Labosky pulls out of a head kick attempt.

He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gonzalez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gonzalez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

I was talking to Labosky's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Gonzalez scores a nice knee to the body.

Labosky is trying to stand up here but Gonzalez is controlling him well. Gonzalez stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Labosky to get to his feet. Gonzalez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Labosky to the ground. Gonzalez is now in Labosky's guard.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gonzalez gets to his feet - Labosky follows without any prompting. Labosky connects with an inside leg kick. Labosky tries to clinch but Gonzalez is having none of it. Gonzalez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Labosky pinned against the cage. Labosky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Labosky wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Labosky lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Gonzalez gets in close and instigates a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Gonzalez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Labosky gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jean Labosky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gonzalez circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Labosky. Labosky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gonzalez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The fight moves into the clinch position. Labosky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Labosky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gonzalez tries to clinch up. Labosky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzalez. Labosky does a little dance to reset his feet. Labosky throws a leg kick but Gonzalez sees it coming and moves out of range. Gonzalez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Labosky. Labosky obviously looking to wear him down.
Gonzalez rushes Labosky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gonzalez creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Gonzalez avoids a wild elbow strike from Labosky.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Labosky is trying to push Gonzalez away but Gonzalez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Gonzalez unloads a knee to the mid-section. Labosky lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Gonzalez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gonzalez lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Jean Labosky has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Labosky is trying to break free. Labosky can't find room to land a body shot as Gonzalez controls the action.

Miguel Gonzalez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gonzalez blocks a body shot from Labosky.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Miguel Gonzalez. I've got Gonzalez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
