The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pope throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pope throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pope lands a big shot that drops Jones! Can he finish him?

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Ben Jones has been cut.

Pope decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Pope finish him?
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones drops his hands momentarily. Pope doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jones staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jones doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
