Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rufus Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silvo Silvera!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Silvera.
A nice leg kick lands there from Silvera.
Silvera lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Silvera drives through with a takedown into Warner's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Silvera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Silvera avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silvera trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Warner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silvera manages to get himself to full guard.


Warner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Silvera gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Silvera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Warner sprawls well initially but Silvera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Warner has his hands clasped together around Silvera's back. He's all about the action.

Silvera throwing shots but Warner is blocking nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silvera decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Silvera shoots in and gets a takedown into Warner's guard.

Warner is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Warner lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Silvera tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Silvera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Silvera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silvera showed some decent athleticism there.

Warner manages to escape and get back to his feet!
A shot to the body from Silvera misses
and Warner counters with a series of strikes. Silvera will be more careful next time no doubt.
Silvera circles away from the clinch attempt.

Silvera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Warner to the mat! Warner manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Warner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Silvera is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Silvera looks winded!
Warner wants to get up but he can't break Silvera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Warner wriggles free and stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Silvo Silvera will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silvera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Warner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Silvera decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Warner, up you get!
Silvera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Good leg kick by Silvera there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Silvera misses with a few strikes there.
Warner takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Rufus Warner has been cut.
Silvera slaps away a takedown attempt from Warner, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Warner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silvera counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Warner! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silvo Silvera!
