PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quintus Octavian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Quintus Octavian was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Octavian sprawls well.

Let's hope that Octavian has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Octavian drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Octavian has Johnson in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is trying to control the action in half guard but Octavian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Octavian looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Johnson pushes past his half guard into mount!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Octavian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
