Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miodrag Cleve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miodrag Cleve has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miodrag Cleve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Snow!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow shoots in for a takedown but Cleve shows good takedown defense.
It looked like Cleve was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Snow.

Snow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cleve's guard.
Cleve is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cleve looking for a sweep. Not yet Cleve, not yet.

Cleve is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Snow is aware though and is defending well.
Snow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cleve swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Cleve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cleve is looking to stand up but Snow isn't so interested in that idea.
Snow with a flurry of punches that miss.

Snow working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cleve's head.
Cleve trying to keep a closed guard but Snow is proving a slippery customer.
Snow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cleve looking for a sweep. Not yet Cleve, not yet.
Cleve throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Snow shoots in and bounces Cleve off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Cleve scrambles and gets back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Cleve.
Snow tries to clinch but Cleve is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice sprawl there from Snow as Cleve shoots in.
Snow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snow wants it to stay on the feet.
Cleve smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Snow fails with a takedown attempt.
Snow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Miodrag Cleve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Snow.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Snow.
Snow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cleve shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Snow's guard.
Cleve looking to sit in guard and control but Snow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cleve wants to sweep here but Snow controlling him for the moment.

Cleve might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cleve manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snow manages to get himself to full guard.

Cleve wanted to stand there but Snow had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow is trying to keep Cleve in close.
Cleve has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cleve controlling from the top position.
Cleve stands up over Snow, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cleve slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Snow manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cleve manages to get himself to full guard.

Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Cleve is retaining full guard.
Snow wants to control from the top but Cleve keeps moving.
Snow is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Snow won't allow Cleve to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Miodrag Cleve will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Snow enables Cleve to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Snow manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Snow not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cleve throws a big elbow that misses.
Snow throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Cleve misses with a few strikes there.

Cleve clinches with his opponent.

Cleve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cleve looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Snow is fending him off so far but Cleve persists. Nope, Snow circles away and we're back to standing.

Cleve has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Snow is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Cleve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Snow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cleve is fending him off so far but Snow persists. Nope, Cleve circles away and we're back to standing.

Cleve pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Snow misses with a few strikes there.
Cleve throws a head kick but Snow moves out of range.

Cleve has managed to clinch.
Cleve tries for a takedown but Snow manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miodrag Cleve. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cleve breaks from the clinch.
Snow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cleve tries to avoid it but Snow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cleve to the ground. Cleve escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cleve wants to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cleve defends well and Snow ends up having to push Cleve into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cleve gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snow to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cleve is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Snow can do to turn this around?
Snow is breathing heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cleve is on top in guard.

Cleve passes into half guard.

Snow throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Snow is trying to stand.
Snow is staying active underneath Cleve, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cleve looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Cleve thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Snow's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow is trying to stand.
Cleve not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Snow wants to get back to his feet.
Miodrag Cleve overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Snow tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Snow moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Snow striking off his back but it's not causing Cleve any problems.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cleve accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Snow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cleve.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Snow gets tackled into the cage by Cleve. Cleve maintains the clinch.
Snow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miodrag Cleve dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Snow looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cleve!

Cleve sneaks out the side door and pushes Snow away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Cleve has Snow up against the cage in a clinch.
Cleve wants a takedown but no success here.
Snow tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cleve smiles and moves away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cleve.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cleve is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cleve looking for a guillotine here but Snow defends easily.
Snow scoring with some ground and pound.
Snow throwing strikes from guard but Cleve blocks nicely.
Snow trying to control but Cleve is working from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snow passes into half guard.
Dylan Snow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cleve tries to get to full guard but Snow has control of the leg.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Cleve.
Dylan Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cleve is looking to clinch.
Cleve dives in for a single leg takedown but Snow sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cleve throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Snow shoots in looking for a takedown. Cleve tries to sprawl out of it but Snow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cleve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cleve thows a body kick. Snow tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Snow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Snow has managed to clinch.
Cleve wants to take the fight to the mat but Snow manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miodrag Cleve. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snow misses with a punch to the body.
Cleve jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Snow walks away with a smile on his face. Cleve gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cleve closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Snow goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Snow misses with an elbow strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snow misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cleve.
Snow tries to pull guard but Cleve won't allow it.
Miodrag Cleve is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Snow doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Miodrag Cleve showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cleve has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
